"The reason death sticks so closely to life isn't biological necessity - it's envy. Life is so beautiful that death has fallen in love with it, a jealous, possessive love that grabs at what it can. But life leaps over oblivion lightly, losing only a thing or two of no importance, and gloom is but the passing shadow of a cloud."

"A house is a compressed territory where our basic needs can be fulfilled close by and safely."

from Life of Pi

i remember the dinner that Sarah made. i felt that it was just perfect. the portion, the amount, the company, the taste, etc. the main dish was the perfect amount of meat, veggies, and color. all i want and need on my dinner plate. and the taste was out.of.this.world. bukatini pasta with meat sauce, Henry the eggplant, brown sugar. the salad was made up of brown beans, corn, tomato, feta cheese. hint of basil. and for dessert, a pillowy, mocha cake with honeyed almond tops. yumola.

words can't describe. pictures can't either. you had to have been there and tasted it.
