Last night we had more children visiting than ever before I think. I reckon altogether around 70 -80! They were mainly in groups of three or four and I began to think we must be bussing them in!

We had a couple of tiny, tiny, ones - a miniature Ninja Turtle and an equally tiny Spidergirl couldn't have been much past their 3rd birthdays, if they had reached them at all! My favourite of the night was Audrey from the Little Shop of Horrors - she looked to be about seven or eight.

I discovered I can still wear my steampunk corset - and the decorations looked really good in the dark - there are some pictures

And here I am ready for door duty - it was not all that cold, but I reckoned I needed a proper jumper under my corset, and a proper long purple and black skirt. I also had my solid working boots on, as recommended by Granny Weatherwax!

I did plan to go green-faced, but S2C pointed out that it would get messed up as I was also eating my dinner between callers by the time we got to 6,30 or so. I had my 'batty' headband on, and my Huginn and Muninn earrings in if you look closely!

And a bonus picture -

I spoke to D-d later; NYK2 had been on door opening duty in their house, wearing her full 'witch' costume as seen in the picture above taken 2 years ago. She was amused/pleased that their first visitor thought she might be 'a real witch!'

D-d and I think the hat might have been the decider. It is the one S2C bought her from Armstreet.
