This is almost the end of Going Home. There will be an epilogue sometime in the next few weeks - and then I start something new for November. A hint about that - you may have noticed Glorfindel has not been around in this story since the first chapter...

But Spike is probably going to do his new body an injury laughing when he finally gets released into the wild!
‘if you don’t want an audience, don’t stand there…’
The possibility of an audience was certainly part of the attraction, but that particular audience definitely had a couple of unexpected bonuses from Elladan's point of view :)
Whilst Haldirin and Tharhîwon are not as close as Rumil and Orophin were at the same age, Haldirin probably understands Thar better than anyone else. This is definitely not the first time that particular three have shared 'the desires of the body'. In effect, if Haldirin, Tharhîwon and Ithilienne are 'the three musketeers', Rhîwen is D'artagnan. Although that does put a whole new slant on the Dumas characters...!
As for the law-mother - as Rumil says of Tindómë's in an earlier chapter, she has come around a little over the years. But they are definitely not each other's favourite people.
Orophin likes his law-mother - she sees him as part of the family; someone else to give gifts to and make his favourite foods when he visits. But Legolas reckons he is definitely going to get the best deal, now they have all settled into the idea.
And yes - a question to ponder.
