Not quite the usual garden pictures...

It makes the garden look far more open without the shed! Looks great.

It does look much better! We are thinking of just putting a storage box there instead, so we can take most of the stuff back out of the garage.

How great that people want to protect the birds that way!

What a difference getting rid of that derelict shed makes. I can't wait to see what you do with that space and also what other garden changes are in store.

The government website points out that if you need to cut between March 1st and August 31st, because there is danger to road/footpath users, it is actually a legal requirement that you must check for, and avoid, nesting birds.

The shed has left a rather nice space. There isn't anything we can do to get rid of the bamboo but we can now keep it neat and it definitely makes that a nice, sheltered, corner. But it is useful to have the lawnmower, the strimmer, the shears, and so on up at that level so we are thinking perhaps a storage box rather than another shed, so we can use the space as a small patio area.

So much free space created! Must be liberating, and your garden will look even better.

It really is quite liberating! It was a nice discovery to discover paving under it to match the rest of that area - we had expected a slab of concrete, and this is so nice it does seem a shame to cover it up again.
