kazzy_cee asked about how one of the pieces in the church decorations was made, and I said I would take a closer look. I did this this morning.
You can see the side view of the second one there as well. They are a piece of hardboard cut into the crescent shape, then painted white and covered in chicken wire which the baubles are wired onto.
I wasn't sure what the curved bits around the edge are, but Linda, who did the decorating, said she got the backs complete from someone else, then painted them white and added the baubles, and she thinks the curved pieces are actually made from some sort of South African leaves curved and varnished.
Also these are our Advent candles for this year - Linda added extra, posh, greenery so they are very smart!
Now to look forward towards 2024...
