I have been having fun with self-patterning chunky yarn. It is fun as it knits up quickly and works best with a simple pattern.
So - I knitted myself a jumper;
As you can see - my hair needs cutting - good job I have an appointment for Tuesday.
And then I knitted a winter dress for my favourite small person;
For something different today I went to an afternoon talk and workshop on Manx Quilts. I will write more about the quilts and their histort another day - but as it was a WI event there were not only tea and cakes but also a small craft sale and, of course, a raffle.
I didn't win anything in the raffle, but there were some lovely hand-made boxes for sale. The display one, when you took the lid off, had a drop side and three little drawers. Then I saw this one and thought that the fabric would lend itself to putting small sewing items in the drawers. So I bought it.
Then I got home and took it out of the cellophane bag, took the lid off... and this happened!
Isn't that wonderful!
I've also been doing some practice crafting of cards for Christmas - and organising next week's Messy Church. I've been having a lot of fun :)
