A Few More Garden Pics.

And now it is the time of the peony...







Which, along with the honeysuckle that is entwined with the clematis and through the Chinese Lantern bush, means the scent near the back door is rather gorgeous.




And just to the right of the peony, in the first picture, you can see that the aquilegia are doing well this year, too.




The clematis I planted just under 2 years ago, to grow up and along the decking balustrade, is now doing exactly that - here is Clematis Montana Marjory;







She has smaller flowers than her elderly cousin at the other end of the garden, but pretty nonetheless.

I will be very glad of being able to sit out there for a few minutes over the next few weeks as a rest from baking, for it is almost TT. So far I have 3 naked carrot cakes, 2 fruit loaves, and 2 gingerbreads, along with 3 dozen unbaked scones, in the freezer ready to defrost and finish off as required, but there will be a lot more baking over the next 3 weeks. Then I can flop out in the garden to recover!
