Weekly View from the Window Post, and link to a new service from Rev Dawn

Jul 20, 2021 21:51

It is still hot for us; today's temperature in the shade was around 25C, in the sunshine it was somewhat hotter. Having posted the chapter of Transmitting yesterday I am on a bit of a roll and spent a while writing the next chapter, which is almost 700 words already.

I've also been to the dentist (routine appointment), took a couple of hours to put together the service video from Rev Dawn - here is the link, and another hour updating the church website.

Which is basically a way of saying that I have not even looked at my FList today, and I almost forgot to post the pictures even though I took them this morning!

So - out the front - the sea is so calm you can hardly tell it from the sky

And my round bush is showing touches of brown where it was clipped. Some is actually bits of clippings still caught in it, some is sun damage. But it looked like this last summer as well, so I am not too worried about it.

Out the back the roses near the house are in full bloom - and you can just see where two sunflowers in pots on the path around the house are now also flowering.

Harder to see, the montbretia in front of the shed is beginning to flower. So is the purple clematis at the back, but the peas hide it rather from this angle.

As you can see in this second picture the pink marguerite has benefitted from the major trim at the beginning of the month and is happily flowering again;

Currently the iceberg rose and the Queen of Sweden are over their first flush of flowering, but are both healthy and I am hoping for more flowers later.

I did take a few more pictures but I will do them as a separate post in the next couple of days as my brain is beginning to melt a bit!
