Transmitting Chapter Ten. Why Would You Want To Know That?

Jul 19, 2021 20:46

And so, finally, I have got this chapter to work - and the next one is already about 400 words long; getting this one to work was the hardest bit of the whole thing, I think. (Well so far, anyway!)

It is posted at Twisting the Hellmouth, but is also here -

Chapter Ten - Why Would You Want To Know That?
2460 words.

Whoops, Ithi got drunk and chatty. *g*

Awww, Eleniel, of course you miss the library. Sérëdhiel is going to be the same way about the conservation workroom - "But I'm used to setting my press here!" - though eventually she's going to agree that the colleagues who went over Sea before her did, in fact, deal with all the things about the original room that drove them 'round the bend.

That elleth is astonishingly persuasive, even domesticated goats are ornery. Worth the work for the cheese, yum, but wow.

NO GIMLI NO SMOKING

Local environment as attention-seeking toddlers! :-D

Yep, yep, it's Celebrían’s house.

Nessa would definitely want to meet the Twins, hon.

Nithdur! Excellent choice.

Fortunately getting drunk has had an unexpected, but positive, outcome.

And yes, I think rebuilding and planning a new library from scratch should, eventually, make one that feels like home, but works better.

Queen Ferveren thought that the goats and sheep should be fairly easily persuaded to cooperate, and planned domesticating them - so presumably the elleth knew the right song to sing and had very good hands :)

I love your description of the local environment as attention-seeking toddlers - that is it exactly!

Nessa meets the twins might be a whole story in itself...

And yes, Nithdur should prove to be just the right ellon for the job.
