Return of the... computer.
So - I am back on my good laptop. The problem was not as terminal as it appeared and it is charging again - they didn't even charge as it was nothing major and related to the previous time they had it - such nice young men! I have decided it might be best if I don't use it whilst it is charging, but unplug it to use and then plug it back in when not using it, to try and stop any strain at all on the charging jack.
Today I have not only been in to town to collect it, but went shopping earlier, at Tesco, and have written another 12 Christmas cards, made 5 small gingerbread cakes as gifts, put the fruit to soak for small fruit loaves to bake tomorrow, and made 3 dozen cinnamon stars. I have iced the first 12, and will go and do the others before bed. I am not an expert icer of biscuits - some of you post pictures of much more professional looking ones :)
The rack is over one of my tea-towels to catch dropped bits, they are not actually in danger of being eaten by hedgehogs :)
In sad news, we have not seen Six Dinner Sid for a little while, and today the niece of his official owners spoke to S2C and said they had decided he was too old and frail, and felt he was suffering, so they had had him put to sleep. We are very sad about it as, to be honest, he didn't look that bad to us last time we saw him, but of course it might be that he stopped coming because he became ill, or maybe had a stroke or something, she didn't give S2C the details.
