Huh - I would have thought saying you had used a frame from another church would have been an ideal 'community' premise. How odd that they didn't even acknowledge it. Shame really - not in the spirit of the festival at all.....
I love the pretty ideas behind the other displays though.
I think it is likely that it was just the lady stewarding that got it wrong rather than the arranger actually saying her husband had made it, but a note by the display saying the frame was ours would have been a real community thing.
I love the first one - the veil evokes the message of the arrangement perfectly (plus brilliant frame *g*) and the christening gown, too - the flower arrangers have almost created a figurative picture with both of them, as well as a mood.
I thought the wedding one was beautiful - our 'winter' frame worked so well for it, and it was so different to our use of it. And that christening one, too - such a simple idea beautifully carried out.
How lovely, and what a brilliant story about the frame traveling from one church to the other. It's a pity it wasn't identified as such, since I agree it might have made inter-church kindnesses more obvious and prevalent. Delightful photos.
I really liked what the Ballasalla arranger had done with our frame - And telling the stewards where it had come from would have been a really good gesture - and I wouldn't have been accusing them of the floral equivalent of plagiarism!
