Firstly -
altariel is on a roll - she has a deadline to meet in her paid writing, I gather, which, of course, suddenly means Faramir is politely taking up her time! So
here is another lovely short story from her.
Secondly - the most exciting things happening around here are that it is currently gently raining, and has been for almost an hour, and that D-d et al went to London yesterday to see
The Muppets Take the O2.
This means I have been up regularly to their house to feed and fuss Tegi. D-d was a bit worried about leaving her, as Tegi has had AN ADVENTURE!
On Tuesday, when the family got up, Tegi had gone out through her cat-flap before they got up, and she hadn't come home when they left for work/school at 8.30 but they left her breakfast and thought she would soon be back. Although D-d said as she walked to work, and the NYM cycled, both were rather worriedly keeping an eye open for a squashed Tegi at the side of a road.
At 10.30 D-d got a phone call; Tegi had had an adventure. About 9.45 a lady on the next road had phoned the Fire Brigade as there was a small black cat stuck on her neighbours' roof! The Fire Brigade told her to ring the MSPCA, and they then sent someone. Tegi was right up on the ridge tiles, and very reluctant to venture down. The MSPCA lady rang the Fire Brigade and told them she might need them after all! But eventually she was able to persuade Tegi down within reach. At this point she checked Tegi's microchip, and rang D-d.
"Don't worry, if you are at work. Our vet is down at Ard Jerkyl today, so I'll take her down there and the vet can check her over. You don't need to come and collect her - I live near you so I'll bring her home on my way home after work."
How about that for a lovely, caring, service?
So D-d decided to keep Tegi in for a day or two - but gave up by the next day as Tegi was head-butting her locked cat-flap and getting quite upset.
But you can see why I have had to report each visit to let them know she is in the house or came in when I got there!
So - gratuitous picture of the grand-kitty -
Also - here is are a couple of pictures of my roses for
pondhopper and anyone else who is interested;
ETA - actually they are not coming home on the London City flight tonight... it's been cancelled. No idea when they will get home, but I can continue cat feeding anyway.
