Easter Greetings! Or festival of your choice....

We had a lovely service at church this morning - favourite hymns, including 'Jesus Christ is Risen Today!' and 'Now the Green Blade Riseth' and a baptism. Then in Sunday School we spoke of the roller-coaster of Easter Week, and the discovery of the open tomb - and made tombs that we could roll the stones away from, ate chocolate, and hung the eggs on our Easter Tree. So here is an extra picture of the Easter Tree -

Now for the pictures for the week -

Monday; Hedgerow blossom - to be honest I'm not sure what sort!

Tuesday; there was a knock on the door and when I answered it a man stood there with a floral arrangement. I was quite surprised to find out it was for me, I rather expected it to be for the new next door neighbours! But it was mine - a gift from the neighbour who had just moved out, to say thank you, especially, for taking time to go and swear the affidavit about access at short notice so allowing the sale to proceed.

So - my flowers!

I'm afraid Wednesday has more flowers - it was sunny and the pot of crocuses were open. I really couldn't resist them -

You will be pleased to see that Thursday's picture is not more flowers - it shows toasted hot cross buns which we had a day early! I can never resist having them early.

I went to church on Thursday evening, and have to admit that I skipped church on Good Friday. It was a lovely day, and I went to Laxey mainly to just take the air. I was planning on going to the tiny establishment that make their own ice-cream, but it was too cold for that, so I got coffee there instead!

The picture of the day is of some gulls, in Laxey.

Saturday's picture was taken between showers on my way to Mum's. I hadn't taken the camera so it is a phone picture -

And for today - this is one of the painted eggs from our Easter Tree -

It has been windy, wet, calm, sunny, weather today! One minute the sun is shining, the next rain is lashing the windows. But good none the less.
