Ah, you're right. What's up with all of those stupid pictures of trees and rocks and shit? He should have learned how to utilize gas masks in his images. Those always make for deep, unique, artistic subject matter.

PBS is airing the Kinsey profile at 4:00a.m. here. Odd.

Here is the Ansel Adams documentary, although, since it was made in 2002, there's a chance your public library has a copy. I wasn't able to watch much of it, but the part I did see gave me the impression that it focuses more on Ansel as a person than solely on his work.

I stayed at the Westin ST francis in San Francisco, and was absolutely floored by their collection of Ansel Adams photos. Apparently he did some time there during the great Depression.

oh god that birthing picture...there's a whole series of them. the husband and wife are named like, zoran and zeena or something, and they have a son named like, zingers or something. haha. it's awesome.
