OMG I had such an amazing class last nite
Went to karate class last nite. Holy shee-ite, it was faboo.
Sensei took the White Belts, and Rob, my favorite instructor after Sensei, took us.
I was so on! To my great joy, we worked on energy last nite, so I got a chance to pull up my Warrior energy and kick some serious ass.
I mean, I could literally feel it radiating. Except, in the Dojo, they don't call it "radiating", they call it "flowing".
When we did Technique Line, I got Michael so flustered he forgot to block. Then at one point, after I did a series of kicks and blows and fiercesome kiais at Daniel, as I turned around, I saw Sensei watching me with his eyebrows waaay up and his mouth open. When he saw me seeing him, he nodded at me and smiled. It was pretty fucking cool. Pretty much the highlight of my week, lol. You don't usually get to surprise Sensei. :-)
It's been a rocky few months for me at the Dojo, but I'm back, and better than before. I understand my Purpose, now. I'm not there to learn how to defend myself, altho I have learned that. I'm not there to learn how to efficiently hurt someone, altho I have certainly learned that, too. I'm not even there to eventually rise to the rank of Black Belt, altho I absolutely plan to get there eventually.
I'm there to learn how best to protect the Innocent, and to be so brutally self-honest and clear-sighted that I will feel perfectly comfortable and capable to mete out justice in defense of the Innocent. Or in other words, Bad Guys, do not fuck with my charges or I am coming for you.
Yeah.
Feels good.
Can't wait for class tonite. :-)
