Ok, this isn't going to be as long as I want because I've had a day where my back feels like it was used for a tying knots lesson for a boy scout troop.
Family came down for sister's orientation. That's all I feel like saying about that.
In lighter news, my
friend is engaged. This is good. I have only met the bride-to-be a few times but she seems like such a sweetheart. It's just so nice to see this happen.
Also, yesterday, I heard the chair of my department singing. Yes, singing. I was in the lounge, pouring myself up some delish vanilla coffee when he walked past the doorway and broke out in song. It was only a few lyrics, and it was either Low Places by
Garth Brooks or maybe some
Oklahoma!-like tune (I could only make out "low places") He sang it rather loudly and was wearing some iPod or iPodish device.
I love seeing people when they act out of character. It's nice to see people act like they don't have a stick in the rear. It makes me happy to see.
