Omen hurried into the corridor once again, with Lady Winter trailing after her. A quarter of the way into the corridor, Lady Winter pulled her hem up to her waist and sped up. There were more guards at the sleeping room entrance, completely blocking it. In her haste, Omen ran right into one of the guards.
"Let me in! I have Lady Winter with me, " she pointed behind her.

One of the guards looked over Lady Winter with narrowed eyes, "How do we know it's not an impostor?"

By this time, Lady Winter reached the doorway. "An impostor? Do you think an impostor could do this?" She brought her hand up, admiring it. Her delicate fingers started to lengthen, narrowing at the tips. Omen watched in wonder as Lady Winter's skin became more transparent and milky. After the transformation of her hand was complete, Lady Winter shoved her tips into the ignorant guard's chest, slipping in between his plates of armor. He could feel the icy coldness of those tips even better as she lifted him up, just enough so his feet could not touch the ground.

Looking around at the other guards, Lady Winter demanded, "Now, let Omen in to wake up my sisters. A couple of you help her and the rest come into the meeting room with me. She then released the frightened guard and turned to the right.

"Observer Ryna, come down, " she called up to the corner of the corridor. Two tiny beings popped their bare heads out of the tiny hole in the wall and one of them flitted down to the Lady.

"Ryna reporting, Lady Winter," replied the small figure as she bowed in mid-air to the Lady as her delicate wings hummed softly.

"Did you see what happened here when Lady Spring's stone was takened?"

"Yes, Lady Winter. Am I to come to the meeting room as well?"

Lady Winter nodded and looked up at the second Observer. "Please keep watching this doorway Onar and alert Ryna the moment you see anyone come by after Omen and the others leave."

"Of course, Lady Winter."

Turning back to Omen, "Wake up my sisters and bring them to the meeting room immediately." Lady Winter then hurried to the meeting room with most of the guards following.

Omen looked at the remaining guards, "Two of you come with me and the rest stand guard." She then hurried to the chest inside the sleeping room.

"What are we to do?" asked one of the guards who followed Omen.

"Get two of those robes from the closet over there and then stand before Lady Summer and Lady Autumn," Omen grabbed the amber and turquoise-colored stones from the chest and ran to the chambers of Lady Summer and Lady Autumn. She placed each stone in its place at the base of the chambers.

As she looked up at their calm faces, Omen uttered, "I hope this does not kill them." She pressed the small red button next to each stone, causing bright light to fill the two chambers. When the light disappeared, both Lady Summer and Lady Autumn had their eyes wide open. The chambers' glass doors slid upwards and Lady Summers stumbled out in one of the guards. As he wrapped the robe about her, she shivered, "Lady Winter is still awake I see."

Gripping the edge of the doorway with her hands, Lady Autumn cautiously stepped out of her chamber. "Why have we been awoken?"

"Lady Spring's stone has been taken. We are to meet Lady Winter and one of the observers in the meeting room," Omen stated.

Turning to look at Omen, Lady Autumn gasped as Lady Summer laughed, "My, we have done a number to Omen."

"What happened to her?" one of the guards asked as he gave Lady Autumn her robe.

"We affect how she looks during our reign, as we do this place," Lady Autumn gestured to the walls, which now were a strange combination of whites, teals, and browns. "Since we three are awake, she is a mix."

Omen grabbed a wisp of her hair, which had gone from a blonde coil of curls to light brown waves. Looking at her skin, she noticed it was a bit darker, but not too much. "What do my eyes look like?"

"Swirls of brown, with various shades of blue, " smiled Lady Summer as she started walking out of the sleeping room. Omen followed the others, but not before looking back at Lady Spring. She looked so peaceful, with a small smile on her face. Her green hair was coiled about her head like vines and she had a plump, rosy presence none of her sisters had.

"We'll get you out of there, Lady Spring," she whispered, "I promise."
