Well now, it has really come to that time, hasn't it?
I don't believe I need to remind my students of their assignments-- after all I have given you more than enough time to have found your exam piece and practice it! But I would be more than happy to help anyone with any last minute questions in regards to it. All pieces chosen must, must, must match the level you are at! I will not be accepting anything below what I am aware you are capable of.
For my advanced choir and orchestra classes, I also expect your own written essays on the composer you have chosen to research. And for those of you who will be attempting my extra credit assignment, remember it needs only to be one page of sheet music of course, but you are more than welcome to go above and beyond the minimum requirements! I want to be surprised and amazed by your promising talents! Impress me! Dazzle me! Show me your true potential in the music world!
Now then! All of the practice rooms are open, of course, so I would advice that you all take this opportunity to take advantage of this. I will be in the music hall should any of you need be. Just knock the door before entering! You know how I can be when I am in the middle of playing.
