I made these little cuties in January for a cake commission (I'm not a professional, but I'm starting a new business very slowly while I finish school).
The person ordering the cake had enjoyed some cupcakes I made at a baby shower about 18 months ago, and remembered how good they were, so she asked me to add cupcakes to the order as well. See? Networking, referrals, and long memories are our friends!
These are vanilla cupcakes with tinted buttercream frosting, coloured sugar and dragees:
...and, just for fun, a couple of pictures of the cupcakes I made "way back when" that she remembered. These are devil's food mini-cupcakes with raspberry buttercream and coloured sugar (I added silver dragees after this photo was taken):.
