Hi everyone!
I joined this community awhile ago and have just been enjoying the posts, I'm finally introducing myself:
♥ Name:Lori
♥ Age: 37
♥ Location: Nowheresville, WI
♥ Your cupcake history: No real history except for a love of all things childlike. See below*
♥ Why you like cupcakes: Perfect combination of childhood whimsy and sweet tooth satisfaction.
♥ Cupcake photos, recipes, or other interesting cupcake-related tidbits that you found: None, I'm new remember?
*I worked in Sales Support for the largest organic dairy cooperative in the US. I basically took the phone calls from new stores and restaurants wanting info on getting/using our products. I've met SO many organic cupcake bakery owners throughout this time and it's just intriguing. One lady was even starting a children's cupcake studio to decorate their own and named the bakery Mystic Cupcake (she wouldn't happen to be here, would she?).
Now, I'm very picky on what I think is the perfect cupcake. I'm not so much a fan of piped fluffy frosting (it hurts my teeth!), in cakes I'm more a fondant girl. So with that said, my perfect cupcake would have the stereotypical cupcake shape (cone/rounded full top), but with a smooth finish for small piped details and cutouts etc. So with that said, I'd love a recipe for a thick glaze that will dry hard as a canvas for those smaller details. Anyone have one? Thanks!
