hello lovelies,
i got Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World for christmas, because though i am not vegan, i do plan to take over the world using cupcakes as my primary form of artillery.
my question is this: can regular milk be substituted for the soy milk called for in all these recipes? i don't know how real dairy would react with things like apple cider vinegar, though 10th grade chemistry lessons regarding acids and bases suggest that it would be a curdling unhappy disaster. however, i was in the 10th grade quite some time ago and my instincts on this may be sorely misguided as a result.
has anyone actually tried VCTOW recipes using regular milk in place of soy milk, and making no other changes? and was it successful? TIA.
also i just wanted to say, i really love the little intro to the lychee cupcake recipe, which has a shout out to cupcake bloggers like us:
"This recipe comes from Cheryl Porro, better known to anyone who has ever looked at a cupcake online as Chockylit (www.cupcakeblog.com). We drool over her cupcake blog on a daily basis so we asked her to contribute a recipe. In the world of celebrity cupcake-makers, this is like having the Queen of England offer to catsit for you."
i KNOW right??
