Lemon Lime Cupcakes









Lemon Lime Cupcakes

1 18.25 ounce box white cake mix, or yellow cake mix
3 whole egg whites
1 1/4 cups water
1/3 cup oil
1 3 ounce box lemon gelatin powder
1 3 ounce box lime gelatin powder
Lemon-Lime Frosting

Preheat oven and line muffin tins.

Mix cake mix according to directions on box. Divide cake mix into 2 bowls. Add lemon geleatin to one and lime gelatin to the other. Mix well.

Place a small scoop of each into paper lined muffin tins (about 1/2 - 3/4 full).

Bake according to time on box.

Frost with Lemon-Lime Frosting.

Lemon-Lime Frosting

3 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons lime zest
3 teaspoons water (4 to 5)

Mix all ingredients until smooth and spreadable
