Aloha Again

Well, first off I want to thank all of the lovely people who helped me out in my last post. The last time I made cupcakes was way back in high school. I think cupcake making is like riding a bike... you don't really forget :P

I couldn't sleep tonight so I walked down to the ABC Store dowsntairs at 11:00 pm last night and bought cupcake ingredients. The last batch was done at exactly midnight.

They're plain yellow cake cupcakes flavored with coconut syrup, which I frosted with butter cream and decorated with a macadamia half and shredded coconut.

I had a hard time frosting them, they were so tiny!

Inside each I put a piece of pineapple. :D

I'm bringing these to work tomorrow. I was going to bring these for everyone for no particular reason other than the fact that I really like my new co-workers. But well, we all got good news yesterday (it's past midnight now) so I'm bringing these to celebrate instead :) Hooray, us!

Also, I have a question. I read somewhere that when you're down to your last batch of cupcakes and you don't have enough batter to fill all the wells, you are supposed to put water in these wells so that the heat will even out and you won't burn the cupcakes unevenly. --> Truth or fiction?

I did it anyway but I'm still kind of curious. :P

Ok, that's all! I'm off to bed. Sorry the pics are so dark. And once again, thanks for helping this amateur baker out.
