So I managed to make 24 of these beauties Thursday evening for a supervisor who was leaving. Not only that, I managed to finish frosting them and compete in a karaoke competition!
These came out so rich. I cheated and used another box (vanilla) cake mix. However, I did manage to have to make a buttercream from scratch. I used a Swiss meringue buttercream recipe from
dyannbakes.com.
Idea, as stated before, from
VeganYumYum. Hers were much prettier though.
Sloppy pouring makes for semi-ugly cones.

I ended up using foil in my cupcake carrier to transport some to work. I was about to cry when they kept falling over at red lights. However, I also had an egg carton I used to carry some later...that seemed to work pretty well. :D
