Okay so I was having a conversation with a friend of mine the other day about ice cream cone cupcakes. She had never heard of them and since I felt they were such a crucial part of my kindergarten years I decided to make her some in the near future. Well that day has arrived and I currently have 24 ice cream cone cupcakes on my counter. Unfortunately I'm not happy with the way they turned out. The cake didn't really fill the cone, and as they cooled they pulled away from the sides. I pretty much followed this recipe, but I'm not sure where I went wrong. Anybody ever try these? Any tips?
Oh, and how do you load a pastry bag without getting covered in frosting?
