Well, I'm trying to figure out what to do with a lot of "het queers" myself. You may be trailblazing on this one. ;)
One place to start may be Norman Mailer's, "The White Negro"; the title sounds so transgressive. OTOH, Mailer himself is a little hard to take sometimes, it's hard to know where he's coming from.
And yea, the whole intimacy without sex thing is VERY interesting; part of the trick (for me -- and this is an evolving thing) involves how to enjoy the enthusiasm and the exhiliration of being around and with someone you love without scaring them simply because it may remind them of a time when they actually were manipulated or molested by someone they trusted. Right now, my label for it is just "smelling the pheromones".

I've never read anything by Norman Mailer, but the subtitle to that essay sounds interesting at least, "Superficial Reflections on the Hipster".
