I’ve decided against studying abroad next semester. I would’ve liked to have taken courses at Fudan University in Shanghai, but Wesleyan doesn’t have any approved programs for China except for two in Beijing (and both require Chinese language experience). I was leaning towards the Bologna program, but finally, I decided I’d be staying at Wes during the spring. There are many reasons for my decision, the most “sensible” being that it’d be just too damn difficult to fulfill my double major requirements (particularly the Soc end of things). On the plus side, this decision was always tough for me (because both outcomes had definite merits) and now it’s over. I expect constant regret, yet full enjoyment. Wrap your heads around it.
