So i hopped on FB as i usually do.. and somehow i navigated my way to a page i rarely look at. I'm not friends with the person. It was a past employer. One is from the best work friend of my husband and his wife. They tried for many years to have a child, and had no luck. So they finally went through the adoption routine, and finally adopted a young baby boy. About a year after they got their boy (or maybe less), they found out that the wife was pregnant! She then had a healthy baby girl.
The other story is my best friend. She was diagnosed in her teen years with uterine problems. I've forgotten the clinical name, but it ends up with scarring of the uterine walls. She was told then she'd might not have children. She got married to her longtime sweetheart, they moved away, and she went to another doctor to see what her condition was. It hadn't improved, and she was told she would not have children. They were heartbroken with that thought, but eventually accepted that they would not have natural kids and started the process to adopt. I then get news out of the blue that she had a baby girl! They were concerned when she found out that she was pregnant that they might lose the baby, so they said nothing to friends in case the worst happened. The little girl was born a month before the boy I was carrying at the time, and is now 9 y.o.
I hope their stories help. I know not everyone is the same, we are all different, our bodies are different. But I believe in hope, and sometimes feel it may be for some folks the body needs to relax from trying before things happen.
