This is pure self-indulgence really (but even if you're not a Whovian, there might well be something else for you under the cut). I can, however, think of one - maybe two - other people who might want this particular piece of art for their games!
So, OK, this started as Vincent Van Gogh's little-known masterpiece 'The Pandorica Opens' made into a recolour of the Maxis 'View from a Veranda' mesh. Then I decided that the mesh was too small and the frame far too modest for such an important piece of art, and so cloned and enlarged the mesh, and reframed it using the frame from the Maxis 'On Their Toes' painting. For good measure, I did a nice grand, antique gold recolour of the frame. I was then very pleased with myself, and had a celebratory cup of tea. (The new mesh is slaved to Maxis 'View from a Veranda' for the painting itself, and requires either Kitchen & Bath or my base-game mesh.)
Thus refuelled, I decided to address something that had always annoyed me, and made a clone of the Maxis 'On Their Toes' mesh with two subsets, so that the frame can be recoloured separately from the painting (I initially wanted to make a default replacement, but for various reasons abandoned this idea). For good measure, I also separated the frame of my enlarged version of the painting, and did gold frame recolours for both:
(The new meshes are slaved to Maxis 'On Their Toes' for the painting itself, and require either Freetime or my base-game mesh.)
Still with me?
Good. Right. Because I love
threadandsandpaper's
wall-hanging fixes for Apartment Life, I then made AL-friendly versions of these three new meshes, plus two of my older meshes that seem to have been omitted from threadandsandpaper's project. When first selected from the catalog, these will appear right at the bottom of the wall, like so:
Just shift them up to whatever height you like, and you can have them as low as you want on the wall without experiencing that annoying dark shadow glitch. The AL versions have the same GUIDs as the standard versions, so only have one version in your Downloads folder.
Lastly, I fixed a small error in my original 'View from a Veranda' recolours, which no one but me probably noticed! Just let the fixed recolours overwrite the old ones.
Time to download!

I promise to make something of more general appeal next. ;)
