UPDATE OF SORTS

So I've been neglecting my LJ again...sorry, my bad.

It's not that I don't care, more so that I choose not to bore you with aspects of my life that are less than favorable. Even the the shit that is cool and worth mentioning seems to come and go as quick as a wink, leaving my memory as fast as regrettable one night stand. I used to pride myself on my memory but the past couple years everything seems to have been fucked up, making it harder and harder for me to remember long term and especially short term stuff. Ultimately I should probably get it checked out on a medical level but for now I'll just deal with it.

I had a productive weekend, I managed to get a shit ton of yard work done which was good for the yard but not for my body...strained my hamstring and walking is a painful process. Was hoping to put the pier in on Saturday but as I cut the grass I realized that a part of the section we leave in the water all winter was bent and screwed up. I was pissed but also kind of ok with it as I wasn't quite ready to get in the still chilly water. I need to go in tonight though and get that section out so I can bring it to work and get it welded and back to good. Need that pier in the water so I can then tackle the task of launching the pontoon boat. Once I realized the pier wasn't going to happen I finished the grass, emptied and cleaned the water feature, aka "the pond", fixed and cleaned the bird feeder and proceeded to burn the rather large pile of sticks and leaves I raked prior to the grass cutting. I also tossed our Christmas tree and wreath on just to get rid of 'em and make the fire bigger. Yes, I can be a pyro at times, so?!

What other random events can I discuss? Hmmm...well I guess I'm just kind of blah about all the damn work that needs to be done at home. It's like my Dad leaves and all of the sudden everything and anything starts breaking. Garbage disposal, gutter, toilet, hot water heater & furnace and now the pier and I also noticed the shed is looking rather ragged AND I need to replace some rotted boards on the deck. Add it to the list. I guess this is what it's like to own a home, can't really complain, just wish things weren't so hard sometimes ya know?

So yeah, another busy week for me. I have appointments and errands that seem to never end but the weekend should be fun so I have something to look forward to. There you have it, an actual, somewhat informative update. Hope this will tide you over until the next time I decide to let you know what's up, I'll try and make it more frequent but I say that every time and never really follow through so no promises.

The end.
