I'm in desperate need to rant about my day...
god, what a day.
I worked for 12 hours today and got FRIED. I'm so sunburned I can't even move my legs. I was so busy today that I didn't even have time to put on sun screen. The beach was so busy today that I didn't even get a break. So basically, I spent all day out in the sun with no time to put on sun screen and no time to eat....anything. I'm so exhausted. I also got more back talking today than I have in all 4 years of me guarding. I got my personal favorite response to me asking people to please get out of a rip current twice today..."Why should I listen to you? You're just a little girl." ugh. I also got, "dude, I'm, like, a professional swimmer....I know how to doggy paddle and shit." Or, "you're telling me to move? YOU fucking move!" Ugh. I hate the general public. I also got to deal with a child abandonment case (some moron mother left her little baby in a car seat out on the sand and in the sun for an hour while she went swimming. She than came back out of the water and brought the baby closer to the waterline....I turned just in time to see the baby and car seat get taken out by a monster wave and then got to take care of the poor kid who almost drowned because he was strapped into a seat and his mother is a negligent idiot), 2 pedophiles (one of them was arrested) and a shit load of drunk people. work at 7 Am tomorrow. The shitty thing is that even though I've worked 12 hours everyday this week, I won't get overtime because you only get overtime if you exceed 80 hours every 2 weeks and I didn't work last week. Ugh.
I'm definitely off to bed.
