I've seen what must have been an eastern diamondback rattlesnake out here once before. It was crossing the road in front of me while I was driving. It was squiggled up and even then it covered almost the entire lane. I was able to avoid hitting it and turned around to look for it, but it was already gone in the grass. I still only have an Olympus C770 Ultra Zoom. It's 3 years old now. :(
The two cameras that I have been trying to decide between are a Cannon Rebel and a Nikon D80. As far as lenses go, I've been told that you can get some of the non-brand name lenses and be safe.

I love it! It's so pretty! Man, I wish I saw a rattlesnake. It reminds me of the hognose snake. I think I'm going to get that or a sand snake as my next pet :X
