:) hello ! added u back!

to be frank with u, whenever i get on the road for this trips, its hell. although it was much worst in nepal where my wheels got smashed but still things like brushing my teeth, and taking a bath perks me up. :) makes me feel new again. ah. i am not a photojournalist here. the only thing that links me to the journalist here is probably a camera. i don't like them.

the media's a bitch. i rather be covering the earthquake in indonesia but mother nature ain't gonna give me a pay cheque to confirm her death toll.

i know i'm at the wrong place when i see foreign journalists. its just my guess but the images shown are probably that of the presence of australia in east timor, most but not all. i can't comment much on the polictical situation here because everyone inside doesn't know what people outside do not know. news are lagging to the outside. if they say 100 has died, we will need 300 to die. if he wants guns for him to step down, it will be a day where east timoris thrown into flames. with the presence of the foreign troops in Dili, he knows its not possible for the rebels/gangs or whatever the press is calling them to burn down Dili. they can, they have the arms and people who will want to do it but why kill our own. they will be so dead if any of the UN soldiers/peace-keepers/police are killed. that is why the violence has shifted out of Dili, and me out of Dili. its not just one case, its coming down hard. i can't say much here anyway.

its a stupid game everyone is playing. its fuck-shit. and the only stability are in the embassies/parliment grounds with armed guards. and perhaps Dili.

its complicated. if alkatiri steps down, a lot of people will be so, oh, unhappy.

i miss my bed. :) my arms are covered with mosquito/sandflies bite. i hate that. but its too hot to cover myself up here.

this morning, the rebels/soldiers killed an animal(tasted like chicken) and made rice for me and little ramiro. they are not terrorists. they'v been in the hills for so long and all are men, i can feel the lonliness they have up here, away from their families.

but they don't show it of course.

Alkatiri was the one who was responsible for firing almost half his defense force, right? That sparked off the situation today. So if he steps down, won't the violence stop? I mean, I'm sure that there will be unhappy people, but there's already alot of pressure on him to step down.

So if you're not a photojournalist there, who are you working for?

Be safe, it won't be too long before you're back here. =)

there's a lot of pressure from people who can't have much say up there.

east timor is a country controlled by outsiders, not them.

i am working for an external agency, non-government organisation.

i so want to be OUT.
