System-wide disturbances like this are common.

But I haven't seen this particular instance of absurdity before now. [Fairies. What are these even.]

I've heard. Fairies aren't a common sight, it seems.

Yes, there's been worse times than this [but this definitely ranks up there as one of the really really annoying floods :|].

The previous month, in particular, was extremely unpleasant.

The system slowly decayed and destabilized, the CES malfunctioned and spilled out into the rest of the ship. There were faceless entities that appeared who grew increasingly hostile and violent as time went on. It was later determined that they were corrupted crew members [and there's a twinge of disgust at that last sentence].

Apparently the Admiral had been scared away and replaced by someone else for the duration of the month.
