I play Hyuuga Neji, Yamanaka Ino, Mad Hatter/Belial, Ion Fortuna and Okita Souji.
Really, he's kind of a troll. I think that was a big part of the appeal. Not like Hatter is a troll, but he has a very trolling sense of humor. He teases a lot, he's sarcastic with Hijikata but mostly just to piss off Hijikata, and he has pretty complicated feelings with some of those things. In general, he hides behind humor, which is a trait I'm often drawn to. He's the kind of character who can joke about killing people, or dying, and at the same time still make really dumb jokes about inconsequential things.
Also, he makes really BAD life choices. SPOILERS which I won't hide bacause I'm too lazy to format, but... I was explaining this before, but he basically becomes a fail!vampire in a fit of gay rage after Kondou is injured. Normally he's smart, but he was already struggling with feeling weak because of the TB, and then BAM, gay rage, he knows he shouldn't have done, after being enabled by someone he knows he shouldn't trust. But he does it anyway because some shanking to do. You know.
He is still kind, in his way, and a good guy. But... idk, I love him. Friendly troll.
So. What kind of balance do you like having with your characters? Are there types of characters you always need in your line up?

Neji and Itachi have pretty much had a terrible year. Neji started having some jealousy issues with Itachi last fall, because the pair of them sort of... failed terribly dealing with Itachi's friendships and then empathic bond... thing... with Itachi, Raph and Raikou. The short version would be that Neji felt very left out of Itachi's life, and didn't want to talk about it because he felt like he was being unreasonable about it. And Itachi didn't think about incorporating him more because he had everything nicely compartmentalized.
Which was going... okay, until after new year, when canon updating pulled in politics from their real world, so Itachi like... vanished and slept in a tree and drew away from Neji a lot. And then Neji caught him and Raph making out. Which he hadn't been aware was a part of their relationship. And. It went about as well as you'd expect.
Since then, they've been... trying to repair their relationship, but more miscommunications, Itachi's health, camp events, etc, have all been complicating things. I don't know that I can speak for Itachi there, but Neji developed the pretty strong feeling that Itachi just... expected him to be stronger and healthier emotionally than he is, and to know what he's doing when he's only had the one adult-ish relationship, and when he's not coming from a place where he's totally emotionally fluent either. Like he's supposed to be a big enough person to just accept Itachi no matter how much he's hurt, because... he's secure and healthy! But he's not. He's also often got the impression that Itachi isn't really trying to repair their relationship so much as he's just showing up.
Not all the time, though. They've had enough positive threads that they kept going. Until making out (for the first time this year, I might add) in a bedninja post turned into a fight when Neji felt like Itachi was trying to pull away from him again.
So the end result was that Itachi apologized after the fight, and decided that they would be better off separating while he sorts his shit out. That was hard for Neji to hear, since he does feel like Itachi wasn't putting a lot of effort into sorting things out when they were together, and because he reads that as more or less permanent, while Itachi doesn't necessarily. But Neji feels like he's been hurt and humiliated in this so much, he doesn't really know if there can be a third chance. Or whatever they're on.
So. Um. I COULD SAY MORE BECAUSE IT'S BEEN A LONG AND EMOTIONAL SORT OF TIME COMING!! But that is probably enough.
What would you say is your biggest dealbreaker when your looking for a new canon?

Uhh. I have to have a character I like. Which can be really difficult because I am a really picky person XD; And a series can have an AMAZING PLOT but if the characters don't thrill me it's over.
What's Ino up to lately?

I suspect it will be the latter, but I've had her forever, so I'm still coming to terms I guess. In the end, I'm not really sure what she's up to, which is a bad sign.

Okita and Ion may be getting into the vampire stuff, and I'm definitely LOOKING for ways to get Hatter out, enjoying the fun. Nothing at the moment is really set in stone, though or specifically thought out. I'll be in SF Halloween weekend, though, because if I don't, my friends on Y-con staff will DISOWN ME FOREVER for not being there to help them during the convention. Unfortunately, that means I'll probably be missing the climax for lots of the Halloween stuff.

He hasn't met as many of them as he should have, though Pam made him DX when she counseled him. He didn't even have to know anything about her. Just her attitude.
The different types of vampire is very weird too. He's heard about some of them second hand, and was pretty put off of how it sounds like they act. They are uncivilized vampires and probably deserve being called that. >:

What was your favorite thing about playing Dietrich?

uhh his general attitude. HE WAS SO HEDONISTIC that even the small amounts of sadism were GLEE FILLED and it is a kind of single minded destruction that's just . . . delicious ♥

Who would most effect your characters if apped?

Ino, Sakura. Obvious reasons. Having her bff in camp would be a pretty big deal.
For Hatter, Lucifers in general are interesting, and AS Lucifer would really shift where xe's at in camp, but I think for really having an effect... if Asmodeus is appable, probably him. I'm not sure he even has enough canon, but camp would become VERY INTERESTING.
Ion... is hard to say. So many of the characters who are important to his character are already in camp, or were in camp when he got here. It's hard to pick one and say they'd have the most effect. Hm. :|a
For Okita, oh god, so many characters from his canon would change the dynamic in camp for him... Kondou or Hijikata most obviously, but probably Nagumo Kaoru, a tiny psycho trap oni who Okita would very much like to stab. I want someone to app Kaoru so very bad, b'awwww. Oh, or Sannan... or if someone apped Kazama! Pffft.

Naruto is not deep! It's a silly shounen manga about silly shounen characters doing silly shounen things. :(
All that said, I'm probably nicer to Naruto than I ought to be because it does amuse me, and has managed to keep me interested better than the other longlonglong titles I've tried to read, like Inuyasha or Bleach.
