You know how I said Greg was going to stay the weekend? He wound up staying from last Friday until Today. Almost a full week. IT. WAS. AWESOME!!!!!! I think that was the longest we've ever spent together, and it was awesome! Especially because Rich didn't get back until the 20th, so it felt like the apartment was mine and Greg's (instead of mine and Rich's), which was very nice. He got to meet a lot of my friends which was great. All-in-all it was fun times.
By the time I got back on the 15th Dan and Dickson were there and had just finished a day of cleaning up the apartment. I felt so sorry for them; the people who lived there before left it a MESS. Plus there were mice. Fuuuun. Dickson moved all of his stuff in later that day(ish) and Dan came back Saturday to move all of his stuff in. I'm jealous of their living room!! Then again they have one room more than my apartment does, so they have a lot more space. But they have to pay more rent! So it works out in the end. It's been fun having Dan, Dickson, Greg, Rich, and myself all hang out over the past few days.
There was a comedy show two days ago. Three hours of comedy from Empty Set, Kilroy, and GI (all on-campus student comedy groups). Dan and Rich are in Empty Set so Dickson, Greg, and I went to see them. Greg and I left before GI started because I wanted to give him a tour of the campus and go back to the apartment and clean a bit before people came over for an awesome after-comedy party. Anyway, Empty Set was AMAZING!!!!! They did all of their best sketches and the improv scenes were fantastic. A few quotes from the sketches:
"What are we mining anyway?
Puppies."
"Coach?! What are you doing here?
Your Mother."
"They expand!?!?"
I love Empty Set.
Also, the apartment is clean!!! The living room has been cleaned almost 4/5 times now and the bathroom looks great, so my chores have been done. My room looked great but after a week of people coming in and out whenever and fun fun get togethers I need to clean it all over again. Oh well.
Today was the first day of classes. Game Development Process and Intro to Microeconomics look like they are going to be a lot of fun. I have Machinama (think "Red vs Blue" kinda of movies) tomorrow and I took a look at the syllabus. Oh man this class is going to hurt.
However, (outside of Greg being here a week) this is the best news of all:
I GOT CAST IN THE A-TERM SHOW!!!!!!
^_^
I'm Ella in "The Curse of the Starving Class". If you're in the Worcester area come see it!! I believe the show dates are Sept. 20th-22nd. Once we get rehearsal schedules I'll know for sure, but I remember those dates from the audition sheet.
And on that high note I should go do some reading for class. Ja ne!!
