I'm not going to make a reference to the Deep South in relation to my "annoying the neighbours with" because hillbillies have lots of guns, so instead I give you curefreak's thought of the day - for those who refuse to think for themselves.It is a reasonably commonly accepted view that tv shows introduce a baby as a character when they start going down hill

How do you know so much about soap operas, Mr. Freak? It sounds to me like you have watched a few in your time.

I watched one or two for a short time when I was a teenager, but that was only because Rick Springfield was on General Hospital.

But yes, your point makes sense. Also those babies apparently sleep a lot and rarely cry, unless the parent needs am excuse to go off-camera. And toddlers are very good at playing in their rooms by themselves until they are old enough to appear back on camera as teenagers who get drunk, pregnant, and steal the car.

And before you accuse me of watching too many soaps myself, I think the above is true for most tv shows! Except comedies, where te preschoolers appear briefly to deliver clever one-liners.

I have to admit, thinking about it, that yes, I suppose I have watched a number of soap operas over the years. Predominantly British ones - Coronation Street and Eastenders and as a young kid Crossroads - and before you make a comment about me actually being older than a kid, let me say I have the following on single, ie. vinyl 45: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtM9FUbwSlQ Oh the shame *LMAO*!

TV show kids are, I agree, much better than real life kids! I mean if they get annoying you can just change the channel or turn the tv off, try that in real life and CPS are all over you!

Seriously, if they are going to make songs about soap operas, they will need to make a new one every month.

Real kids aren't too bad - they grow up and support you! I'm hoping anyway, the kiddo is currently in college. :)

That rap is something else! I mean there is basically 15 years of wasted afternoons condensed into a 5 minute song - and to think that there are people out there who deny that soap opera plot lines are dragged out *lol*.

The thing about kids, when they are younger you can sell them on ebay and when they are older they can support you eh?

The networks probably won't allow any more songs like that to be made, otherwise, no one would ever need to watch the shows!
