Dejitaru Henshinka!

Recently I had a strange idea of crossing Digimon with the maho shōjo anime genre, but before you ask: NO, IT DOESN'T INVOLVE OTAKU SENSHI OR FANMADE MEW MEWS. Instead of doing that, I decided to go for having them as girls who adquire Digimentals and transform into warriors with Digimon DNA (again, this is NO WAY like in Tokyo Mew Mew; they don't work in a cafe or have to fight aliens or anything).

And guess who I picked as the main characters? *drumroll*

Why, my two favourite Digimon, Flamedramon and Silphymon, of course! :D Well, not really, just two girls who gain their DNAs when transforming. Let me introduce them to you.

Hibana Akasaki (赤崎ひばな) is the first half of the Digital Guardian duo. She is the student council president, and starts out as cold and aloof. Hibana hates skirts and other girly things (in fact, at school she wears the male school uniform), which is the reason why she was reluctant to become a Digital Guardian. Also, she tends to have a tsundere-ish behaviour. As Digi Blaise (デジブレーズ), she is powered by the Digimental of Courage and has Flamedramon's DNA. Her mascot is a DemiVeemon.

Tori Hanekaze (羽風とり) is the second half of the Digital Guardian duo. She is very feminine, and always stays positive and cheerful, even though she's generally a screwup and well aware of it. She is very familiar with the maho shōjo genre, along with some typical anime/super sentai concepts, something that often annoys Hibana. Oh, and she loves N&N's (obvious parody of M&M's). As Digi Sylphe (デジシルフェ), she is powered by the Digimental of Love and has Silphymon's DNA. Her mascot is a Poromon.

Together, this unlikely duo will have to team up to fight the minions of Lilithmon, the current ruler of the Digital World, who is in control of the Digimental of Darkness (yupsies, there is one). Hibana and Tori are a typical Tomboy and Girly Girl duo, with their own strengths and weaknesses. Also, most of the characters (supporting characters included) are based off actual Digimon, like Hibana's close friend Yulie (based off Lilymon) and Tori's two buddies Akari and Mamiko (based off, respectively, Wizardmon and Mummymon, referencing the Three Digi-Stooges in Digimon X-Evolution).

What do you think of this rather crazy idea?
