I Love the Reward System
So I went ahead and bought myself a copy of Domino The Book of Decorating today. :> After years of watching from the sidelines (i.e. from my computer screen), I now have the actual copy sitting on my desk. Call it a reward for hmm all the hard work I've been doing since late last year. It's crazy. I can't stop touching the cover.
And speaking of rewards, I have devised a reward system for my little sister for her last term in fifth grade. If she ends up on the bottom half of the honor roll (6-10), she gets a trinket and no, she has no say in what it is. The real prizes are reserved for the first to fifth place.
5th place: Any book of her choice but must not be more than 300 pesos
4th place: A half-year's subscription to Candy Magazine
3rd place: Clothes and accessories from any store but must not be more than 700 pesos.
2nd place: Clothes and accessories from any store but must not be more than 1,300 pesos.
We were deliberating on what to get her should she be first on the honor roll and Fanny came up with a very brilliant and rather economics-ish solution.
1st place: She gets all of the rewards from 5th to 2nd place. :>
