Easter bunnies and springtime

I went to Madison for Easter. It was nice to be home, and as much as I say I don't want to live there, it has its goo points.

The flight out from New York got delayed by weather in New York. No one is sure what this means as there was sunshine all day. But while sitting in the waiting area, I ran into my cousin who was here for business and it turned out we were sitting together.

Mom and I had a girls day on Friday, and had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I'd never been there and it was one of the best and most relaxing lunches I've ever had. On the way home, we stopped at the bike shop in Clarksville and I got a new seat for my bike.

Saturday morning I went on a biek ride with my parents through JPG. Errands in town then I met my sister for ice cream sodas at Mundts. She got into the Brasil program at Ball State, so as soon as she takes a Portugese class she is set to stuy there next spring. She will be taking actual classes, rather than language classes (in Portugese) and will finish most of her degree there. Why this is good for me it next February I will be vacationing in Brasil! I'm looking forward to this, even though it is a year away.

We had a BBQ for the family, and tried to keep cool in the 89 degree heat. When it got to dusk, Mom and I went biking again at JPG, this time going to see my dad's new office out there. It's a nice place, and close to our house.

Easter Sunday, I should know better by now that this will always be an ordeal, no matter how simple it seams. We did make it to church, all five of us plus Katie. Six people in one pew is crowded, and Clint and Em kept falling asleep. Then we went to the fountain outside Trinity to take pictures with the cousins. The boys are 6, 9, and 12, and were running all over the place. Drew forgot to come. Then Andrew (6) chased a ball into the street and almost got hit by a car, so he ran off scared and we had to wait. After 30 minutes, I'm surprised no one fell in the water, but we did get a picture...This is the last time I suggest this plan for at least a few years.
Sunday dinner, good.
Then during the tornado watch mom and I went biking at Clifty. 12 miles, lots of hills. I am officially in training for the five borough bike ride.

Emily and I took turns falling asleep while driving to the airport at 3:30 Monday morning. Then I almost missed my flight because it was taking off early. Straight to work, and somehow I made it through the day.

This week has been beautiful weather. The farmer's market is back in full swing, so with all the fresh veggies, I'm eating pretty healthy. My number for the 42 mile ride came in the mail. So to prepare, my next step is to ride before work next week. And then to work the week after that.

And now I am late for my Thursday Bible study.
