Incoherence, thy name is Dee

- I am quite in love with this movie. Hah. Big surprise.
- Olga. Love her. In my head, she and Alice have this whole big female pissing contest thing happening. Also, I can't decide if she and Anton are just snarky unto infinity in a platonic way or if they actually are even sexier than John and Angela. You can understand that this indecision puzzles me. But she's so cool she could pull off either.
- "Merciless killer instincts". Yes, I'm still squeeing about Olga. His feathered wonder. OMG.
- I finally figured out what happened in the grand finale tableaux, with Zavulon and Anton and Yegor. How Anton ended up where he ended up. Yeah, I'm slow. But note that it didn't slow my love for the movie for a moment.
- In the scene where they go to the markets so Anton can jack up, could Kostya be more happy-beamy-isn't-my-boyfriend-dreamy? No, I didn't think so either.
- Also, the up-against-the-wall scene does not lose its power to make me squirm. I mean, gross violation of personal space, intense tension and emotion, and then they start talking about "being immortal together" and "being so in love". Ferfuck'ssake! I'm only human!
- So that I don't ruin my het reputation - I'm also increasingly squirm about Anton and Svetlana's "medical examination" moment. There's so much desperation and despair and emotion sloshing about in that sequence. So much layering up between them. And also, when she takes her glasses off she's beautiful and he's just hot all the time and doing it amidst that wallpaper would be weirdly House of Flying Daggers. LOL.
- The faint scars on Kostya's face fascinate me.
- Ditto the tattoo on Olga's wrist, and her scars (has she been mauled or whipped?).
- Ditto the silver stripes on Alice's arm.
- So totally in love with this movie.
- I am having ridiculous insane ideas. INSANE. maleyka, you may be getting an email one day soon. If I don't manage to talk myself out of them.

Anyway, yes. Third viewing, with sophrosyne31, who was most delightfully taken with it. (Another convert! \o/ Though honestly, I have great faith that anyone who enjoyed Constantine will adore Nochnoi Dozor. Though the audience is obviously not limited to those folks because pfft! as if Anton was ever blond. Ahem. Anyway.) And then we lounged on damp grass and discussed fantasy structuralism and the unfairness of the whole business. It's always so frabjous catching up with my dear girl.

Incidentally, sophrosyne31, what is your perfume? Because every time I meet up with you I end up smelling of it for the rest of the day, which will teach me to throw myself at you like a strumpet, but I'm curious. *G*
