Ahahahaha! It's like an epic collision of bad habits and fucking up the dark side.
Actually, mostly just bad habits. They'd spend all day arsing about the house, sporadically drinking; and every time Anton's conscience told him he should be doing something, John'd lock him in the closet or drown his mobile phone in vodka or just give him a look. And John'd be really unimpressed with the seer thing. "Oh great, you can see trouble coming, but not actually well enough to be useful? You are really getting on my nerves."
"Also, who is this vampire who keeps mooching about outside your door? Send him for cigarettes, would you? I'm out."
Chas and Kostya could bond as underappreciated sidekicks. And trade stories about their respective crushes on John/Anton. But Chas is dead, so, um. But then again, Kostya may be as well.
Actually, that leads me off on a tangent. I've only seen the movie once and have zero background knowledge, so maybe you know more. Are the vampires in the movie actually undead, as they're usually portrayed in other movies and books? I don't think they are, I kind of got the impression they're "normal" human beings except they live off blood. We know Larisa got turned by Andrej; maybe vampirism in that world is like a virus that gets transmitted through the bite? Or maybe the victims "die" and become undead when they bite their first human? I've wondered about that for a while and just haven't come up with a satisfying answer by myself.
Chas is an angel. He's just manifested as a Light Other. *G*
I am certain I found out somewhere - but I can't rememember where now - that Kostya was born a vampire. Which almost sorta makes sense, if you think of vampires as just one breed of Dark Other. Some of them manifest early, some of them (like Anton) manifest late.
But, with all that in mind, and the fact that vampires are just one sort of Dark Other, I'd say they're not actually undead. Kostya, obviously, could go out in the sunlight. And Anton's been drinking blood and using their powers, but is not actually a vampire. It's a breed of Other power, not a state of being.
Am I making any sense? You've caught me only just got up. *G*
I'm not playing on Europe, correct. I've thrown my lot in with US West (and NOT Asia, because I don't want to be playing with all the psycho geek boys from the Philippines and Korea, thank you very much - I love 'em, but they scare me). I guess I probably can't schlep over to Europe for a visit, can I? Ah well.
And no! Bad pirate! No Diablo! University and pirates and Jedi! *G*
