Stuff I read this week

I can't believe I forgot this this morning in the flurry of Russian dark urban fantasy. Why didn't somebody say something?

Star Wars
"The Eating Habits of Obi-Wan Kenobi" by its_not_for_you - Anakin's very troubled by Obi-Wan's eating habits. Silly. But delightful. Very, very, very nice description, with just the right mix of understated and blatant. Have a laugh.

"Greatly Exaggerated" by rabidfangurl - Anakin Skywalker, sexual terrorist. Strikes Vader where he was least expecting it. The rebirth of a man, in a way.

A ficsnip on comparative anatomy in the Jedi by quigonejinn - I'm really not a Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan girl, but I love 'em when she does 'em. Because they're gentle but brutal, business-like Jedi with humanity behind it. Just what they should be.

And I recced one of mereywn's vids last week, but honestly, I've got to go again with all her Star Wars vids. I wallowed in these all week, making total non-fandom people watch them. Great stuff. I have nothing but respect for anyone who can vid to System of a Down's "Chop Suey", for starters. "Creep" is a great take on Anakin. And the Prequel Jam is hilarious. But really, all of them: good stuff. Enjoy. I did.

PotC
"Drink Up" by elessil - Norrington is not above using underhanded means to torment Sparrow. And he's really rather good at it. (Just a little snippet of perfect.)

"Status Quo" by oneiriad - a snippet of Sparrington that's all sharp edges and no-go areas. And while normally I'm not a fan of James-angst, somehow the flavour of this is perfect. No solutions, no answers, just pain.

Also, I did a little bit of update on the Labyrinth of Evil quotes.
