This is the story I wrote for sga_santa this year. I'm so pleased with how it turned out, and that aesc liked it (although I would have been even more pleased if I'd had one more day in which to fix the couple of little errors that I missed. Grrr. So annoying!).

Yeah, me too! This is incredibly awesome. Gorgeous and lush and vivid and painful.

I love the way John's "superpowers" make him feel ... he doesn't want them but he's got them and sometimes, he wants to use them even though he doesn't want to have them.

Loved the flashes of octarine throughout. That was particularly effective.

The expression on Rodney's face takes no special powers to read: it says you're-a-moron loud and clear. "So can I. It's called a lever. You might have heard of it."

Oh, I like this a lot! How like Rodney to crave physical touch, yet be unawed by physical differences or abilities greater than his own. And poor John, feeling so alone & alienated with his new abilities when his team accepts them with hardly a hitch, once they know....
