Why the cruel radio buttons? What if I want flying cars *and* killer robots! For that matter, I'd be equally happy with a great story by an old writer or a great story by a new writer. I just want a great story. Fandom has felt a lot deader recently, but I can't tell if that's just me.

Also, I have many other OTPs in other fandoms, but I'll just stick with those two, since they are the fandoms we share. Although, what happened to the Clex?

That's just what vegetariansushi said to me in IM about Killer Robots and Time Travel. But I am mean that way, making you pick :)

I don't think it's just you, we're in the post-new year slump, with everyone working on their next round of challenge stories. Things will pick up soon, as the deadlines hit.

And the Clex is still love, but I'm just not reading it as much anymore. Superman is a constant for me though; I will come around to it again in one form or another. Also, strictly, it's not an OTP, because I kinda like Lois :)

It's not Discovering a brand new fanfic writer I love or Discovering a new shiny fandom I love love love so much as wanting to discover new "good" fanfic in my oh so brand new fandom.

Hikaru no Go. I read mirasfic's new one and sort of got sucked into the universe. It wasn't until I read rageprufrock's Inertia that I started actively looking for fics though. That's really when I classified myself as "in fandom" although I usually lurks during the beginning stages (depending).

Before Hikaru no Go, my fandom of the month was Torchwood. For that fandom, I'm at the stage of just watching tw_flashfic for fics though.

Hmmm. I know nothing of that canon, but I may investigate next time I feel that new fandom craving. Especially as Pru has written some. Thanks for the pointer. Is there a place to find canon or a primer online?

I LOVE Peter Singer. Not necessarily what he believes all the time, but his writing style and his accessibility. *nods*
