The best part about these snippets is that no matter how much they are written with such clear goals (i.e. Gossip fic!), they are so, so clearly the characters that I can't decide if my joy afterwards is from the YES YES THAT IS SO MY KINK TOO or the YES YES THAT IS SO RODNEY OH MY GOD AND JOHN. Please keep writing this series forever and ever.

Oh, and suggestions: Well, 1) I trust whatever you think up, 2) John hears people talking about the rumors again, but this time he's with Rodney (who doesn't know) or Radek (who does). Or, overhear Teyla's reaction to the rumor. Or, like the second snippet, a snippet about the fall out of this! Or John stewing about the fallout of this while the gossip moves on? Yeah, that's all I got.

They've all been in John's POV so far, so stick with that. I definitely think he should overhear Teyla and/or Ronon talking about the rumors.

It's fanon that both Teyla and Ronon would be supportive of McShep, and even yenta if they were fed up enough with the Dance of Frustration, but is that completely true? Would Ronon be pleased, or offended that Sheppard isn't fucking *him*? What about Teyla?

Good point about Ronon and Teyla. They haven't had much screen time so far. Hmmm.

BTW, I love the bit about the pasta dribbling onto John's pants while he evesdrops, even more than the flying fork trick. And I always have a soft spot for Observant!Radek, of course.

There's something about people having embarrassing accidents with food that really appeals to me. It's such a normal thing to do, and yet the humour value never seems to get old :)

And Radek is such a darling. I love writing him. One day I should really give him his own fic: The Amazing Adventures of Radek Zelenka, PhD.
