I'm always on the lookout for rec communities which match my particular tastes. Because I read in so many fandoms, no one reccer fills my needs. Instead, there are many rec sites and journals I browse from time to time, depending on my mood ( Read more... )

Ooops. My bad. I tend to look over your recs, and go, "I've read that; read that; must avoid the dark!fic; oooooh three funny ones!" So then I think of that rec set as the "funny set" :)

By funny, I just mean lighthearted and with a good dollop of snark, which is one of the main things you rec, other than kink.

You don't rec dark!fic? Let me jog your memory :)

I know you go on to say it's sweet... but actually, I'm having trouble reconciling violent rape with sweet. I'm willing to believe you, but I'm very rarely in the mood to want to read a violent rape scene even in an otherwise sweet fic. And that's what I mean by dark!fic. Not actually wall-to-wall angst-and-blood, but a story containing something I don't want in my head at that particular moment.

Yay for dS crack! I've been in the mood for dS lately too--I've been re-reading cesperanza.

Thanks! Yep, I keep an eye out, but so far most of what's been recced there is stuff I've already read. I'm sure that'll change as I'm no longer reading *everything*. Being the first BSG crack_van driver made me kind of a completist there for a while :)
