He is only technically an African-American!
So here I sit, nothing to do, but with a story to tell regardless.
I actually had an oppurtunity to talk to the guys who live next door today. Originaly these guys didnt exactly leave a good impression, as they mentioned how they wanted to find a way to lock me out of their room and how I will be held responsible if anything of theirs gets stolen. Turns out that they are just jaded from all the stories of dorm life that they have heard. The large man, Daniel, is from Africa, or at least thats where he spent most of his life, if you went by my system (if you lived there more then a year you belong to the country) then he is a Irish-African-American.
His roommate, Alex, brought me cookies and offered to jam with me sometime when he gets his accoustic guitar down to corvallis. Dont know if I'll take him up on his offer, since I have just recently learned the necissary theories behind accompanying another guitarist.
Also, my RA stopped by and had a revelation! She is me stuffed into a 5' 3" female shell! She came down because she heard music that she liked and wanted to say something about it, but then when she saw my room she had to come in, touch the guitar, and oogle the posters. She got perticulary excited about the Naruto poster. I take this as a good sign that we may just get along, I would hate to go from an experience like having Ayeesha the Awsome to some crazy control freak.
Since I have spent most of my day finishing up the layout of my side of the room and reading, I think I will return to that. Mybe, as the sun goes down and the people in the dorm begin to stir, Ill have another event to write about here.
