Shopping and Politics
I have found the perfect Dread Pirate Roberts shirt! Black, dressy in a 'poet maybe fancy pirate' way, and it works for normal wear as well. Also picked up a pair of black pants, a random light-wieght sweater-
And awesome shoes for this winter. They look like a cross between hiking boots and sneakers, all black (which means they can be sneak-dressy), and most importantly- they are warm. (Which means I will not be wearing them any time soon. *eyes warm, dry, Santa Anna Wind condition weather*) Trying to find shoes out here that are a nice balance between 'single layer pleather' and 'omgwtfSNOW' that work for the actual cold weather we get in Cali? Is rather hard. Add in the DenJan trip- and I now have good shoes!
(I also picked up Hellboy II, finally. >_> And Forbidden Kingdom.)
Today, randomly in the mail, I got a letter supposedly* from the Republican National Committee, with a 2009 Obama Agenda Survey for me to fill out.
*Though now looking at the post-mark, this may be legit. Cue more boggling.
... I thought I wasn't registered to either party. *eyes it* But apparently they think I'm a republican! We believe that you and every one of the more than 60 million voters all across our country who did not vote for Barak Obama deserve to have a voice in the way this country is governed.
Um. I hate to break it to you guys, but... *snerks, and holds up icon*
And OMG this survey. *head in hands, laughing* It also includes a spot to make a donation to Chairman Steele of the RNC.
Well. I guess I'm going to be doublechecking if I am an actual, registered Republican. Again, looking at the letter and envelope- envelope is addressed to me, letter is not- and dad points out that since I'm not listed with either party, odds are that's how they're sending them out.
... I'm still tempted to do this survey, and put in a note saying who I voted for in the last election. Even if most of the questions are wieghted so if you don't answer according to the Republican Party Line, they make you feel as if you go out and kick puppies in your spare time.
