My mind keeps wanting to do a mash-up of Harry Potter and Horatio Hornblower. *eyes dreams*
Well, Snape couldn't do a worse job at being the ship's doctor than Clive did! (... He'd actually do better than Clive. Much better.) However, I think he'd feel the same way towards Horatio as he did towards either of the Potter boys- father and son.
Of course, now I have the feeling that my brain is going to be toying with this idea all through work today. (Which is fine with me!) Captain Dumbledore, various ships officers- Dr Snape, Gunner Hagrid, Leiutenant McGonagal, so on and so forth- and a bunch of young midshipmen. *snickers, facepalms*
